Internships at HAVEN are adapted to fit your specific program’s needs.  Because HAVEN Interns provide a broad range of skills and experiences essential to the organization’s day-to-day operations, we work with students to find the best fit for them.  Below are a few of the opportunities currently offered, but please contact the Volunteer & Outreach Coordinator if you are interested in an internship and do not see your area of study listed.  Thank you for your interest!

Education/Community Outreach Intern:
Interns will work on educational projects that will be presented to the community.  They will participate in special events and trainings, organizational tasks and special tasks as needed.  Tasks may include but are not limited to: creating power points for outreach events, helping with signage and flyer creating/distribution, assisting in training when needed.

The time commitment for each internship opportunity varies.  All interns must complete HAVEN’s full domestic violence and sexual assault training before their internship begins, will be subject to background checks, and must submit clearances (provided by HAVEN).  They will have the opportunity to work in our office or as an on-call volunteer for evening and weekend emergency advocacy.
